Hi John,

I know that this is something of a FAQ, but I've
been trawling the net
for a couple of days and could not find an answer. So, apologies if I'm
acting a bit clueless or lazy ...
I can only tell you about MusE. MusE does support syncing over MIDI. It was
however implemented some time ago and whether it works as it should I don't
know, I haven't tried it. I seem to recall someone managing to partially sync
ardour and MusE a while ago. E.g. it worked with MusE as master but only
pressing play not stop or something similar, not quite usable ;).
The current version of MusE does not have support for jack syncing. I think
Werner has implemented it in cvs though. It's coming up in version 0.7. I
would not recommend you to try the current cvs though, not yet, it's very
much in flux.

Anyway.
I would like to set up synchronisation of ardour
(ardour-0.9beta9-1.rhfc1.ccrma) and rosegarden
(rosegarden4-0.9.5-1.rhfc1.ccrma) on Fedora. I have tried _many_
combinations of setting ardour and rosegarden as slave and master, and
using MIDI or jack master/slave systems. No joy.
It is possible? And if so, how?
I am willing, once I find out how, to write it up and contribute it to
some FAQ or WWW site, e.g.

TIA,
John.
