This proves that the hardware is installed correctly (at least the main card).
Still ALSA doesn't give any new soundcard.
The snd-emu10k1 driver should have been loaded automatically.
Does it appear in "/proc/asound/cards"?
If not, what is the output of "rmmod snd-emu10k1; modprobe snd-emu10k1;
dmesg|tail"?
