This us on 11.10 and strangely enough now it is doing just fine. The only remaining issue
is I still don't get any menu items when right-clicking on the systray icon. That said,
I now use Ubuntu's menu icon so that is not much of an issue any more. Just wondering
if that menu has been axed in the last version of qjackctl or if this is Ubuntu's
doing.

welcome to chime in:
Any plans on providing tighter integration of qjackctl and Ubuntu
Unity? It appears right now on a 64-bit system systray icon when
clicked does not offer any menu items (is this a side-effect of
Ubuntu-ized version of QjackCtl?). It also does not always succeed at
posting an icon in the left-hand menu (might be another Ubuntu-ism).
Which version of Ubuntu Unity? The first Unity had numerous bugs in it,
perhaps you're meeting one of them? I understand the new one fixes some
things.
