I haven't tried Noteedit yet, and a quick google
search
found that rumors of its death had been greatly exaggerated
::-). I'll download it and give it a shot.
You want to visit the Linuxtag which happens the next week
(Wednesday to Saturday) and see the current maintainer
presenting Noteedit at the audio booth ;-) .
