That is indeed what a good teacher should be doing, and
little else. Unfortunately, in many countries teaching has
been streamlined by the MBA hords into the same type of
anonymous 'process' as e.g. a call center or a help desk,
and teachers spend a lot of their time just doing all
the administration for that. This sort of reducing things
to a well defined process of course allows lesser teachers
to do the job, at least as it is specified.
