jack is running or not. It should allow jack to be set up in the same way
as a card, stereo, 5.1, 7.1. Input or output only etc.
I may be misreading this, if so, please correct me.
This does not seem to take into account the situation where a person has
multiple jack setups. Sometimes starting jack to work with one sound card and
sometimes to work with another.
