All of which are easily possible thanks to Linux (and, look, we're back
on-topic again!).
Which is sometimes sensible but not always. Sometimes keeping the old gear in
use is a waste of power and thus resources. For times like those I try to buy
the newer gear and pass the old gear along for use in a less demanding
setting.
