I didn't mention that it's an ambisonic application, projecting B-format
recordings and 2nd and 3rd order simulations - wouldn't this present
problems?

This deviation is that small, that it's comparable to a minimal
difference, of the position of two microphones. For clean stereo IO
pairs simply use IO pairs just from one device and don't mix both
devices for a stereo pair. Likely that both aren't sample accurate,
unlikely that it will be an issue.
