That is crystal clear to me, yet I get xruns even
at startup when
nothing is loaded to produce anything...
In my experience, jackd1 works better with pd than jackd2.
Also, I'd say getting xruns at startup is normal.
Running pd at 64 f/p is no problem with a low latency capable kernel.
