I like the idea of having it as a prize for some kind of competition,
hackaton or collaboration between linux musicians. Be it as a part of LAC
or online.
Something like KVR One Synth Challenge (
https://sites.google.com/site/kvrosc/) but probably with the main stated
goal of generating more free/libre software and resources for music making.
