Agree! If it's indeed the behavior of
specimen and it's been there all
along, I'm surprised. I just released a CD two months ago (done entirely
in linux) with specimen on most tracks, and I can't believe that I
didn't notice this!
I just booted my debian partition (used for the CD) and it
seems
specimen doesn't auto-connect to the cound card there. Can it be
something with qjackctl?
