Does anyone know if it's possible to tell pulse to NOT load a

start that with jack when it's needed. And to have the pulse stuff
continue to run to play music, etc.
Don't know if I understand correctly, but pavucontrol, the pulse gui mixer
control thingy, lets you choose which devices pulse can use. Working from
memory as I'm not in front of my linux machine, but it should be the last
tab.
Yes, but pulse still controls them all. I'd like to tell pulse to
ignore a certain device. But, I can't do that via modprobe stuff since
alsa still need to manage it.
