Have you tried the sample rate switch on the UA25? I've got one and I've
noticed that the jack takes the sample rate of whatever this switch is
set to.

happy with it.
It's supposed to be a 96 kHz samplerate card but under linux I can
only get it to do 44.1 kHz.
Set the "Advanced" mode switch. If this doesn't work after
re-plugging the device, send me the output of "lsusb -v" for this
device.
