Btw, what version are you testing ? I've been
working only with the
unreleased 3.5, I don't know if my advice conflicts with the 3.4 series.
Since he is using Arch, he can easily try the pre-release 3.5 too.
Check archaudio/experimental (the buildscripts), or use the AUR:
