I don't see a great deal of exchange between big players like ProTools and
Cubase or Reaper or Ableton or.. or... that's why people do stem exports, and
oh, hey, look over here under the File menu - there's an option for stem
exports. I just sent tracks I recorded with Ardour to another engineer for
mixing, and the stem export did just what we needed it to.
If exchanging sessions between different were that painless, why is
there stuff like AATranslator? Oh hey look, it supports Ardour and
Mixbus!
