If things go well, instead of borrowing the
guitar player's Korg
Triton (as I had to do for the last show), I will be playing my new
Linux laptop.
I want to plant a huge Tux sticker right in the
center of the laptop
cover. It's a barebones so it has no markings of its own; I get to
put on my own. I've seen a logo of Tux wearing headphones too, which
I'd like to find.
My two pennies:
Just about every manufacturer on a stage puts its name in large
letters. Korg, Roland, Yamaha, Nord, etc... Although 'Linux'
is not a musical instrument/software manufacturer, why not neverthless
simply put its name in large, perhaps somewhat stylized/coloured,
letters ? Or somewhat smaller letters offset from a top corner of the
laptop's cover ?
If you put "Linux" on there in big letters, you also need the /small
print/ : "Linux is a Registered Trademark of Linus Torvalds."
anyway it should be "gnu/Linux" - and you might get away with it..
cheers,
