And you have many desktop options available to you when your
needs are so simple. I spend most of my time at a command line
too, though I prefer Konsole's tabbed windows over screen for
local use at this point, but I am not most users, I'm a coder.
But at work I have to use Windows XP, where I'm
really missing
my trusted powerful bash. I think this is at least as bad as
having to drop to the command line now and then on Linux.
For you and me, sure. (I always install cygwin if I have to use
a Windows machine for any length of time.) But again, you and I
are not most users.
