Yes, this is the right way.
As I don't have any sound yet, my problem concern alsa configuration.
- I set alsa parameters using "$alsamix -c 1" command
- and I get its state using "$alsactl -d
-f/var/lib/alsa/asound-maudio.state store 1"
But how to know if alsa is well configured ? Is there a command ?

Here are the steps that I did :
- $alsamixer -c 1 to set inputs/outputs value
- $qjackctl (root) which seems to be ok for my part
i think you'll have to run qsynth as root as well.
