Hi, might be a bit late due to your time contraints
I need to set up a linux computer with 8 balanced
outputs for an event
next month and I'd like to ask what are the current makes/models that
work well in Linux, ie. with simple installation.
I use the Edirol/Roland/Cakewalk UA-101. It's USB-based and should work
out-of-the-box on Linux. I never had a problem with it and I'm very
happy with the audio quality. The device has 8 symmetrical outs and some
ins as well. No ADAT though but not needed in your case anyways.
Best regards,
Jannis
