interfaces(I have my Pro40, but few others I know have one) as
compared to Presonus where for a while it seemed like every other
person I worked with was purchasing one, and out of those at least
every other interface broke, if not more.

I bought one of those every-other-interfaces. PissOnUs tired to cover
up their bad firewire chips by calling inappropriate behavior &
locking threads that mentioned the problem on their forum. & their
reps were nothing but duplicitous about Linux support.
