I appreciate the recommendation Dave. I see that
this card is "PCI Express 2.0". Will such a card
work in my my 2007 motherboard in the slot labeled
PCI Express x16? Thanks.

Works fine here with Fedora 21 x86_64 rt kernel from Planet CCRMA.
Btw, I also needed the new card for the latest OpenGL.
