VirtualBox only supports pulseaudio...
Are you sure about that?? I used VirtualBox here, and don't have pulse
installed. Virtualbox uses alsa here just fine.
I guess not 100% sure, but I definitely remember reading on one of
their forums one time that they intend to maintain active support only
for pulse.
Audio for my Vbox does work without PA.
Guest is XP SP2.
