I think it is better to get latest release from that site instead of
looking for it in some distro CD.

wxWindows 2.4 and 2.5 are both currently in the contrib repositories.
That means they come on the DVD edition (IIRC), and the 7 CD edition,
but not on the download or regular edition of Mandrake. It also means
that it is not supported by the Mandrake support team, because it is
maintained by volunteers.
