well, no, it doesn't explicitly. But you do get to choose what the target
level for normalization is, so simply by picking a value very slightly
below 0dBFS, you ensure that inter-sample peaks are not an issue. Note also
that when you normalize while editing, Ardour deliberately picks such a
value for you by default.
