Gack, retch, are there still systems out there where only GTK1 is
available?
If you don't have GTK2 I highly recommend to install it, once you get
used to it you will want to vomit at the sight of a GTK1 app.
FWIW Ubuntu Dapper finally seems to have purged all GTK1 apps from the
basic desktop (mplayer was the last holdout but has finally been fixed).
