Ah! OK so you want to create an ambisonic version, not a binaural one,
right? Yes, you can use the b-format encoders in Csound but I remember
having some problems with them and ended programing my own encoding
and decoding based on this

Thanks for asking, but I won't be interested in 8channel conversion. But
maybe someone else. It is a topic occasionally arising.
I'm just interested in my 5.1 problem at the moment. But I'll have a look
at hrtfstat. I was thinking about the bformdec1 and bformenc1 codecs.
