Yikes, yeah I imagine a lot of bugs are still being worked out with usb
audio and how it works with other usb devices. I tried to install a usb
trackball and wound up having to use a ps/2 adaptor cause my machine was
freezing up on boot up.

This is truely odd. It turns out that tX doesn't work well with my usb
device. Playing through the onboard chip gives perfect sound quality.
It's probably something to do with using a usb mouse.
