Hi Brandon, thanks for your lovely feedback. You caught on to all the little bits of fun. :) I didn't get the jk reference. -- I'm not a one for christmas, but that theme is nice and I needed something that was easily recognisable, so I could smuggle it into many voices here and there. When the long solo begins, it cropped up in the bass, of course the carillon takes it up as well. I was thinking of one of my favourite prog bands and looked at their arrangement and composition techniques. -- When I played the theme at halftime using the carillon, a friend said that it reminded her of the Dies Irae. Matilda just came to me under the shower. I had the melody and the first line. I didn't know where I should go with it exactly. I had the feeling and nothing else and for the life of me, I couldn't change that line.
