I ran my Hammond M output through a Crybaby wah-wah back in 1975. That, an additional
volume pedal, and twiddling with the tonebars gave me a nice Hendrix guitar sound.

This was the first time I'd played with these guys, and so I wasn't entirely 100%

Also, the sound guy had the keyboards really hot in the mix. But, at least you can hear
auto-wah happening, big time.

Wah on keys has been going on a while; Stevie Wonder used it ("Higher Ground")
35 years ago, John Medeski used it 15 years ago. It fits really well with this style of
music.
