I also have a Dell 8200, what I've done is remove
the
grounding and the noise is gone. (yes, I know you shouldn't
do that...)
yes, it's dangerous. Very dangerous.
A further thing one could try is to put an optical coupler
between the notebook/soundcard and the rest of the audio
equipment. Any experiences?
