My experience is that nothing beats a Vox ToneLabSE when it comes to
direct recording with classic am models, I use to own one for a couple
of years, but now i mike up my tube amps cab, when I record guitars, I
think that gives a far more natural warm sounding guitar track.

Same, mic my tube amp for guitar, direct record my bass amp's line out for bass.
