stay away from via chipsets...
I have (unhappy) exeperienced what could do a wrong mix of ram+intel+via...
unable to compile ardour all in one go, kernel compilation freezes.
After several attempts finally I thought it was a gcc bug or something else
with dependencies or missing packages.
I wrote on this list few weeks ago with no replies then an offlist
conversation with an hardware skilled user was very clarifying in this
sense.

Any thoughts on this? What I'd like to know the most is, how does the
AMD790GX
perform under Linux? Is it fully supported (chipset, graphics [very
important],
Which kernel would I need at least?
Does anybody here use an AMD790GX board? Are you happy with it? Any known
problems?
I'd be really grateful for any thoughts, experience, info, whatever.
