Thanks to all who replied, especially to Clemens for this summary (which
should probably go into a FAQ somewhere). I'll avoid the firmware-based
pieces and will be sure to pass by the unsupported hardware.
The ESI RoMI/O (1x2) seems to be the most inexpensive
one when bought
new; on Ebay YMMV.
None listed in eBay yet, I'll keep looking.
