I was at a music store this day and they
recommend a soundcard with
preamp etc. build in...
I think this is indeed the best solution for me now. What are good
soundcards with preamp build in, phantom power etc. which work well on
linux?
I don't think you're going to find an internal soundcard with
phantom
power. Phantom power is usually 48v, which just is not available on a
PCI slot or from a computer power supply.
For the features you want, I'd go with an external USB mixer. It will
be much more versatile, probably have better mic preamps, many more
features, and well within your budget.
