Since you'll want to mount /tmp in ram, more is better. I've monitored
mine (with 500 MB), and it never seems to fill up, so I think that's
adequate.
More is always better, but jackd runs without complaint alongside Hydrogen,
zynAddSubFX, and Ardour, on my system with 256. If you've got a few extra
dollars, putting some more memory in couldn't hurt things, but 256 has been
adequate for me :)
