To counter the effect of the rather static samples a
bit, I played
every single line live and in audio.
That worked well I should say. The instrumental sounds, after being
triggered, are still (unfortunately!) lacking the life that the breath
of a human performer imparts but the timing and dynamics are
convincing. Perhaps one could try routing the individual parts
through a (lowpass) filter which is modulated manually to add further
detail to the somewhat static timbres?
