Thank you very much for that. I just built it an after some hassles with
how to start it I finally made it run - the thing sounds just great,
looks nice and it looks like no trouble running it on my rather weak
USB-Soundcard.
In a word: congratualtions :-)
It is a standalone application which can be interfaced
with Midi and
generate electronic sounds in realtime through Jack.
It can produce 8 different sounds at once but each is monophonic.
Although its a subtractive synthesizer, no existing hardware is emulated
and the sound is synthetic, don't expect a piano from this. Each voice
features 2 oscillators going into a morphing formant filter and a
flexible routing with loads of modulators which can go into audio range.
Everything is calculated sample accurate so it take its share from the CPU.
I am going to show it at the clubnight at LAC in Cologne next week and
demo it in March at the Musik Messe in Frankfurt.
Website inclusive sounddemos and manual is at
http://minicomputer.sourceforge.net/
Cheers,
Malte
