   Thanks to
Jeanette and Fons for their help. Now please one more
 question: I've
got two such 3.5mm jack stereo microphones:

Yes, I know, it's cheap and maybe not very high quality, but it
 suits well to
my needs of simple home made recordings. Do you think it's
 suppported by the
Behringer UMC404HD? With a proper adapter, is it possible to live
 record using
that microphone and that audio interface?
 You'd need 4 Phantom-Power to Plugin-Power adapters, like the
Røde VXLR+. That would be sort of defeating the "cheap" aspect. You
are probably better off getting something like a Zoom H2n recorder and
use that for creating a four-track recording.
Just to stress: the plus sign in
Røde VXLR+ is not optional. There
 is
also an adapter called just VXLR and it does not convert the phantom
power to plugin power, working only with microphones containing their
 own batteries.
Isn't it possible to switch off phantom power on the Behringer
interface? On many such USB devices I've used, phantom power is an
 option, not 'always on'
