and
rpm -q rtload
# rpm -q rtirq

I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Did you just want me to check whether
the packages are installed? Or are the versions significant?
I should point out that (as I have said elsewhere in this thread) my
problem now seems to be resolved, although I do not yet know why!
