This is a kernel bug; it thinks that there isn't enough bandwidth
left.
Disable CONFIG_USB_BANDWIDTH in the kernel configuration.
Thanks for the tip. I've recompiled the kernel with
CONFIG_USB_BANDWIDTH disabled. Now jackd does not crash but there is no
sound. Playing sound through ALSA with non-jack applications still
works OK.
