i'll get the ball rolling with 2048 frames. note that we are assuming
2 channels only, but duplex mode (simultaneous capture+playback).
Don't have it here ATM so I can't test but my old Edirol UA2 is
always used at 48 kHz, -p 256 -n 3 and I can't remember any
problems with it.
