that sounds pretty good but I warn you on weight - the plywood will be
flipping HEAVY, especially once you get the gear in there. I have two
plywood road cases that I built (not double layer) and they're not light

of aluminum frame, and building a box(plywood?) around it with a
couple inches of foam. Seems like it would be fairly light, and
not too complicated to build. I'm thinking I can probably build
it for under $150 or so.
