I always found it amusing when Steve Albini (a guitar player, by the
way, as well as an engineer) who spent many pages blasting
"producers" who used terms like "warm" and "punchy",
instead of
describing things in mathematical terms.
"Warm" and "punchy" tells you something the mathematics can't
tell you.
They give you the emotional response to the music. Which is something I
think is much more important than the mathematics!
