Yet even if I turn
the volume of the instrument completely down, so not even noise
submits, the rectifier spits a huge amount of sound at me. Maybe I
could experiment with it a bit.
Any effect that provides sustain will add gain and amplify
noise. But if you have 'a huge amount' of it even with no
input that probably indicates there is a problem with the
effect.
