It's also a bit of a pity that you used
screenshots of FC3, few people
will use that old software versions, so ubuntu's stuff will generally
be closer to what they see.
Indeed, especially as QJackCtl's connections window now has 3 tabs.
This has the potential to confuse newbies: in the FC3 version pictured,
`MIDI' means ALSA MIDI, but in later versions, `MIDI' means JACK MIDI;
and ALSA MIDI is labelled `ALSA'. Also, the pictured FC3 `Audio' tab
has system inputs and output labelled as `alsa_pcm', whereas later
versions simply call these `system'.
FC3 is a real blast of distrostalgia, with its bluecurve theme and Luxi
Sans font!
The first mentions of JACK and QJackCtl are links to the websites; for
consistency, it would be nice to see ZynAddSubFx and Seq24 linked to
their respective sites as well:
http://zynaddsubfx.sourceforge.net/
http://seq24.sourceforge.net/
Still, it's nice to see someone writing documentation.
