It seems I fall at the first hurdle :(
When trying to install wine I get the error:
'configure:2479: error: C compiler cannot create executables'
I'm using 64studio on a sempron if that makes any difference.
Have a look at

I think 64studio is Debian based, so the first set of
instructions should work...
Or you could try apt-get install wine!? I think that is a real
long shot but it might-just-work!!
