Hi Kim,
Play it through KMidimon or GMidiMonitor ?
http://kmidimon.sourceforge.net/index.shtml
http://home.gna.org/gmidimonitor/
KMidimon records and displays MIDI events, but it can also play MIDI files directly,
without an external player program. Recent versions understand Cakewalk and Overture files
as well.
