Limiting is the proper tool for the transient type
spikes that need to be fixed in this job.
Right - I thought you meant the kind of spikes you get from recording
glitches, not just those from transients with snare drums and the
like. We used to get a few of the former kind, until we added a
second hard disc just to use for live audio.
