How's this relate to open audio?
Nothing?
Now office app's will have xml data files.
Perhaps the xml files will work as a container for data held in
proprietary format. Perhaps the xml file is inside proprietary
format. Perhaps people still needs to install a closed development
software for accessing the proprietary data. Perhaps people still
needs the MS Windows operating system.
In the news, nothing like "format changes from the proprietary
format to an open format" is said.
