Did the default behavior change recently? If so this
is a
huge user-visible regression, and we need to make the
kernel people aware before 2.6.12 and so it can be fixed in
the stable (2.6.11.x) series.
I'll download kernel sources and check it
tomorrow (0:17AM :\ )
